What a "Step" Actually Is
Paint correction removes defects by leveling the clear coat with a machine polisher until scratches no longer catch light. One step means one combination of pad and abrasive across the whole vehicle. More steps means starting with a heavier cut to remove deeper damage, then stepping down through finer abrasives to refine the finish the heavy cut leaves behind.
That is why a 3-step costs more than double a 1-step. It is three complete machine passes over every panel, and the first pass creates work the second and third must clean up.

3-Step Correction, $649: Deep Damage and Show Standards
The 3-Step adds a heavy compounding stage before the cut and polish, for deep scratches, severe swirling, and owners who want a concours-level finish. It restores 95 percent or more of defects. Sedans $649, SUVs $799, 3-rows $949.
Honest caveat: no correction removes a scratch that has gone through the clear coat into the color layer. If your fingernail catches hard in a scratch, that panel needs touch-up paint, and we will tell you that before quoting rather than sell a correction that cannot fix it.
Correction and Ceramic Coating Belong Together
Correction removes defects. It does not prevent new ones. Uncorrected habits, especially automatic washes, will put the same swirls back within a year.
